What is Bad Bitch Book Club?

Bad Bitch Book Club is a virtual book club that was founded in 2018 by Mackenzie Newcomb. BBBC reads books from a wide range of authors and genres but tends to focus on work by women and non-binary authors. The club’s home base is within the main Facebook group, but we also have a variety of sub-groups, and of course, as present on Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. We meet via Zoom to discuss the books and meet with authors. Our members reside all around the world.

How Do I Officially “Join”?

Don’t worry, there aren’t any initiation rituals when it comes to joining the BBBC! Basically, all you need to do is join our main Facebook group, and sign up for the email newsletter. You can subscribe to our mailing list, and get the details on our Book of the Month, here.

Are discussions mandatory? And, do I have to speak during them?

No discussion is ever mandatory! Go to the ones you want to and are available to join. Even if you join a reading group, you are not required to attend any of the meetings. As for speaking, no, you don't have to speak at them or even turn your mic/camera on if you don't want to! Basically, the vibe here at BBBC is, do you. That said, the chatbox of any BBBC Zoom call is always poppin’, so we recommend at the very least, putting your thoughts there.

I want to see ALL of the BBBC event things in my calendar at once. Is there a way for me to do that?

Yes! You can head over to our Events page, and add them all to your Google calendar.

Is the BBBC Free?

Yes! However, the truth is that the BBBC is a small business, and it takes a lot of dough just to cover the administrative costs.
